FAQ

1.  How long do orders take to ship?

Anything marked as ready-to-ship will ship within 2-3 business days.  Items marked as "made-to-order" will go into production once your order is submitted.  As each garment is lovingly made entirely by me, it can take 4-5 weeks to ship.

2.  How much is shipping?  Do you refund overages?

Currently, I charge $6.50 for parcel-post (used to be called first-class by USPS) domestic shipping of garments weighing 12 ounces or less.  Items weighing over 12 ounces cost $9.50 for priority domestic shipping of 2-3 garments.  Anything over that amount will cost $14.50 flat-rate priority shipping.  I will refund shipping overages of more than $1; however, I often find myself undercharging for shipping, so overages are fairly rare.  Shipping prices can change with increases imposed by USPS, my main shipping method.  International buyers will pay the exact amount of shipping via USPS.  International buyers will also be responsible for any duty/customs/VAT charges imposed by their country of delivery.

3. Is Dragonfly and Stitch a CPSIA compliant shop?

We are a fully compliant shop, which means you can rest assured that the clothing you purchase from Dragonfly and Stitch Designs meets or exceeds all CPSIA safety regulations.

4.  Do you accept exchanges for a different size?

With the exception of swimsuits, loungewear and underwear, and provided I still have sufficient fabric on hand for a remake, I will happily accept exchanges for a different size or style.  Just contact me within 3-4 days of receiving the item and ship it back to me within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unworn/washed and include all original tags and packaging materials.

5.  Do you accept returns?

While custom items are normally final sale, I want my customers to be happy with their items.  With the exception of swimwear, loungewear or underwear, you may return items for shop credit if you contact me within 3-4 days of receipt to discuss the reasons for the return.  The items must be unworn/washed, with all original tags and packaging materials and be returned within 7 days of their original delivery to you.  Items must be in

6. Where do you get your fabrics?

In my attempts to secure fabrics that stand out from other shops' offerings, I buy from several suppliers.  I use both domestic printers and overseas ones.  Most of my organic fabrics come from Europe, while others are printed in China.  Overseas printers offer the most durable fabrics that use sublimation printing that enters into the fibres, rather than being printed on the surface.  This helps reduce fading and piling, meaning your clothes will continue to look vibrant after many washes.

7.  Do you make items for boys, as well as for girls?

I don't believe that clothing needs to be gendered.  Any child can wear any of my garments.  However, I do have specific styles that are marked as "gender flexible."  For example, my hoodies and t-shirts are all gender flexible and I have two fit types for joggers and shorts: loose-fit and slim-fit.  Some people find the "loose-fit" style fits boys better.

8.  Do you make items for adults, or for children over size 14?

I do!  While I haven't yet listed adult items on the website, I do have many styles in my repertoire that are designed for adults.  Be sure to join my VIP where you can check out an adult style album and claim adult items via special preorders.  You'll also find that these adult styles work well for kids that wear 14+.

9.  Do you take custom orders?

If my schedule permits it, I do take custom orders.  During peek sales time in the weeks leading up to Halloween or winter holidays, I will not be able to take custom orders.  I am also a full-time college professor, so customs are often difficult in late November or late April/early May.  Simply send me an email or message via Facebook and I'll let you know what is possible!

10. How should we contact you with questions?

If you have questions or concerns about your order, please email me at dragonflyandstitch@gmail.com.  Or, you can use the Contact page on the website--or, reach out to me via Facebook from with the VIP group.

11.  I don't understand some of the abbreviations used in showcases and small-shop listings.  Can you define them, please?

Absolutely!  TAT = turn-around time.  RTS = ready-to-ship MTO = made-to-order.  OOAK = one-of-a-kind
